Case Study · Education Publishing · Navneet

From static to compounding in education search.

Navneet came to Bee Online with a domain that ranked but had stopped compounding — under 1,000 keywords, almost no presence in AI answers, and an Authority Score flat for close to a year. Nine months on, the footprint is 5.9× larger and form submissions have grown faster than traffic.

From 62,698 to 962,490 organic sessions. Traffic that compounds, not traffic that arrives once.

From 20,512 to 459,663 form submissions — growing faster than traffic, which is the conversion story.

Up from 14. The education category is almost entirely answer-shaped — and Navneet now owns that space.

Semrush AI Visibility Score42→ 67

A score that sat flat for close to a year moved 25 points in nine months of structured entity work.

A domain that ranked but had stopped compounding.

The domain wasn't broken. It was static. Authority Score had sat at 40 for roughly twelve months, 944 keywords ranked, and just 14 AI Overview placements existed across a category that is almost entirely answer-shaped — definitions, syllabus questions, exam formats, solved examples.

That query space is exactly what AI Overviews and LLM assistants absorb first. An education publisher invisible there is invisible at the moment of the question.

The click-through rate of 7.6% and average position of 5.9 were serviceable — but impressions weren't converting at the rate the rankings deserved. The gap between visibility and visits was the signal. More rankings alone wouldn't close it; deeper entity coverage and richer result formats would.

Four workstreams. One compounding outcome.

Every phase was sequenced to build on the last — technical eligibility first, then topical authority, then answer engine presence, then domain authority to hold it all.

  1. 01

    Technical foundation

Crawl and indexation hygiene, internal linking restructured into priority clusters, and structured data implemented so pages were eligible for richer result formats rather than plain blue links. The prerequisite for everything that followed.

  2. 02

    Topical depth, cluster by cluster

Content built systematically across subjects, boards and exam formats — the structure that took the keyword footprint from 944 to 5,578 ranked keywords and 1,356 top-three positions. Topical authority compounds; individual pages do not.

  3. 03

    Answer engine optimisation

Question-led headings, concise lead answers, FAQ schema and structured markup, People Also Ask capture. The work behind 588 AI Overview placements, 493 PAA results and 507 AI citations across 226 distinct pages. The education category is answer-shaped — this is how you own it.

  4. 04

    Authority that had stopped moving

Quality-first referring domain acquisition and entity reinforcement lifted Authority Score from 40 to 46 after roughly twelve months flat. Authority is the ceiling on everything else — raising it raises the floor of what's possible.

What Bee Online owned end-to-end.

Every deliverable below was scoped, executed and quality-checked by the Bee Online team.

Scope of ownership
  • Technical SEO audit — crawl hygiene, indexation fixes, structured data implementation for rich result eligibility.
  • Internal linking architecture — priority cluster mapping and link equity redistribution across the domain.
  • Topical content programme — subjects, boards and exam formats built cluster by cluster to compound keyword footprint.
  • Answer engine optimisation — question-led headings, concise lead answers, FAQ schema, PAA strategy across 226 pages.
  • AI Overview capture — structured content and schema to earn placement in AI Overviews, LLM citations and featured snippets.
  • Authority building — quality-first referring domain acquisition and entity reinforcement to move a flat Authority Score.
  • Conversion tracking & CRO — form fill funnel analysis and landing page optimisation that lifted conversion rate from 32.72% to 47.76%.
  • Performance reporting — GA4, Search Console and Semrush AI Visibility tracking across the full engagement period.

Traffic that converts, not traffic that arrives.

The signal worth reading twice: clicks grew 94% while impressions grew only 60%. The same searches now convert into visits at a materially higher rate — and then convert into form fills at a higher rate still.
