Facebook and Instagram share the same Meta Ads infrastructure and targeting but reach different Indian audience segments. Facebook's Indian user base skews 25–50+, is strong in Tier 2 and 3 cities, and responds well to regional language content and longer text posts. Instagram's Indian audience skews 18–35, concentrates in urban areas, and responds best to Reels, Stories, and visually polished carousels. For most Indian brands, running ads across both via Meta Advantage+ placement lets the algorithm optimise delivery. Both platforms benefit from having a bank of quality creative assets produced by a content marketing and creative team rather than producing ads as an afterthought.
